Senior Engineer

For our client (automotive industry) we're currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer.Are you passionate about using computer vision and machine learning to make driving safer?We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer as a consultant to join our team in Linköping. We develop state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms enabling active safety and automated driving features for global automotive customers.You will be part of a skilled, collaborative team working close to both algorithm research and production software, turning ideas into high‑quality code running on our automotive platforms.Your responsibilitiesDesign, implement and optimize computer vision and ML algorithms for active safety functionsDevelop robust, production-quality software in Python and C/C++Collaborate with algorithm, systems, and validation engineers to take features from concept to productionDrive technical workstreams, contribute to architecture and design discussions, and mentor junior engineersContribute to continuous improvement of our tools, ways of working, and development processes Mandatory qualificationsMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or similarAt least 5 years of hands-on software development experienceStrong programming skills in Python and C/C++Solid experience with modern software engineering practices (code reviews, testing, CI, etc.) Meriting / Desired experienceExperience in Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning developmentEspecially: Convolutional Neural Networks, Transformer Networks, Temporal/sequence modelsKnowledge of PyTorch (or similar deep learning frameworks)Experience with common dev tools: Jira, Git and GitHubExperience from the automotive industry or similar safety‑critical domainsPrevious team lead/technical lead experience (driving work, mentoring, planning) Personal traitsWe believe you:Are outgoing and enjoy collaborating in cross‑functional teamsAre a true team player who shares knowledge and helps others succeedAre driven and take ownership
