Description

For our client, we're looking for a Test Vehicle Fault Trace/Uptime Engineer:Description The Test Vehicle Fault Trace/Uptime Engineer role is part of a cross-functional team responsible for the continuous lifecycle of test vehicles during the development process. The team ensures the test vehicle usage is optimized and fit for testing according to the purpose of build. Test vehicles are located at various sites including the main workshop at Säve and Uni3 at Lindholmen, as well as other proving grounds in Sweden, EU, China, and the US. The team secures that the fleet is ready when going out on tests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery service before registration and handover to users.
  • Harness and ETC builds for project requests.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault tracing.
  • Updating software and hardware on request (work orders).
  • Repair work.
  • De-prep after lifecycle.
  • Electrical fault tracing raised from rebuilds where configurations are not fully developed and integrated.
  • Supporting product development by updating test vehicles according to project requests.
  • Supporting suppliers and participating in expeditions.
  • Securing timely deliveries with the right quality.
  • Supporting daily workshop operations and maintaining good order (5S). The role requires domestic and international travel to support expeditions and site visits, sometimes on short notice. The team is located at the Test Site Säve, Gothenburg. Required Skills
  • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferably minimum 5 years' experience as a workshop technician for complete vehicles.
  • Good complete vehicle knowledge including hardware, software, and electric vehicles.
  • Experience in electrical fault tracing using computer and relevant analysis tools such as DSA, ZDS, VIDA.
  • Experience with measurement and analyzing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer.
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Driver license category B.
  • Forklift license. Preferred Skills
  • Certificate for HV work (power up/power down).
  • Certificate for hot work.
  • Experience with INCA tool.
  • Competence in CATIA CAD (solid and surface).
  • Viewer competence in Team Center Automotive. Other Information
  • Intermediate level in English, oral and written.
  • Office 365 proficiency.
  • The assignment includes travel.
