The purpose is to help them stay ahead and offer attractive and relevant services - now and in the future. You are willing to cater for the complete lifecycle of the code.Team description:The team is cross-functional and consists of both back-end developers and app developers (for Android and iOS). The back-end part of the team delivers standard APIs from which the apps get their data. Our software products provide connected services in the journey intelligence area for several automotive OEMs. You will be working very closely with fellow App developers, as well as with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and UX Designers. The work includes both independent tasks and pair-programming sessions. WirelessCar has embarked on a journey of developing applications for the automotive industry, and this team is at the forefront of that journey.Responsibilities:Deg and developing native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose while ensuring a scalable and maintainable codebaseTaking ownership of the entire app lifecycle from initial concept and requirements through development, testing, deployment, release, and maintenanceCreating and maintaining tests (unit tests and UI tests) for your code to ensure robustness and reliabilityMonitoring and optimizing application performance to ensure a smooth and responsive user experienceFixing known bugs in existing Android applications and adding new featuresWorking with external & internal software libraries, SDKs, and APIs to incorporate additional functionalities into the appWorking with UX/UI designers to turn design templates into a polished user interface, and coordinating with back-end developers to integrate data and services via APIsProviding technical guidance and suggesting different strategies to move projects forward, leveraging your broad understanding of mobile app development challengesSkills:Kotlin programming languageJetpack ComposeFamiliarity with modern Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)Android Jetpack components (e.g., Navigation, Lifecycle, Room, WorkManager)Unit testing experience (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)Non-technical: Able to collaborate well within a team and across teams, being transparent about your work and open to giving and receiving feedback. Comfortable communicating with customers or non-technical stakeholders by explaining complex processes in simple terms.
