Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced API Management & Governance Architect to help develop and strengthen enterprise-wide API management and governance across internal, partner, and public APIs. The assignment is central to maintaining architectural consistency, scalability, and alignment in a complex environment influenced by ongoing organizational consolidation.
You will be responsible for owning the overall API governance model and driving the structured convergence of multiple API management platforms into a unified strategic solution. This includes establishing governance frameworks, defining API standards for both internal and partner consumption, and leading the transition of existing APIs, customer integrations, and business processes to the target platform.
The role also involves defining lifecycle management practices such as versioning, documentation, and deprecation, reinforcing API security aligned with Zero Trust principles, and ensuring consistent platform adoption across development teams. Close collaboration with enterprise architecture and platform stakeholders is expected to secure architectural coherence and long-term sustainability.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven capability to perform in an international, multicultural, and high-tempo working environment
- Extensive practical experience using IBM API Connect
- Sound knowledge of end-to-end API lifecycle practices
- At least ten years of professional experience focused on API architecture and API management
- Hands-on involvement in moving APIs, integrations, and business workflows between platforms
- Strong competence in OAuth2, OIDC, token-based authentication, and Zero Trust security concepts
- Previous exposure to MuleSoft and/or Axway platforms
- Documented background in unifying and transitioning API management solutions
Meritorious Qualifications
It is considered an advantage if you have experience from logistics, transport, or supply chain environments.
