Senior UX Lead
Description
Assignment description
We are looking for a Senior UX Lead with strong expertise in Information Architecture (IA) to join an intranet program within Strategy & Communications.
The initiative aims to create a modern, personalized, and scalable intranet that strengthens the employee experience across a global organization. The program will consolidate the current intranet landscape into one unified digital workplace, supporting both global alignment and strong local relevance.
The program has entered a critical phase where a future-proof information architecture needs to be defined. The current landscape is complex, particularly in terms of balancing global and local content, enabling role-based personalization, and consolidating duplicated structures.
We are therefore looking for an experienced UX/IA professional who can lead the structural foundation of the new intranet, ensuring clarity, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Information Architecture
- Define and document the global backbone IA for NGI, including top navigation, content domains, and structural principles.
- Design a scalable model for site/factory hubs as a primary personalisation dimension.
- Develop a role-based personalisation framework aligned with defined use cases (white-collar, blue-collar, managers, content editors, etc.).
- Define clear principles for global vs local content separation.
- Develop taxonomy and metadata models to support filtering, targeting, and governance.
- Create clear mapping between existing intranet structures and future-state IA.
- Facilitate IA workshops with global and local stakeholders across multiple markets.
- Ensure IA decisions are documented, visualised, and communicated in an accessible way to both business and IT.
UX & Structural Design
- Translate IA principles into clear navigation blueprints and site maps.
- Create low-fidelity wireframes and structural flows where needed to validate IA decisions.
- Collaborate with Business Analyst, Product Owner, and Technical Architects to ensure feasibility within Staffbase.
- Support definition of content governance model and ownership structure.
- Ensure that personalisation logic (role + site/factory) is reflected in UX patterns.
- Act as a structural authority in discussions regarding consolidation, simplification, and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications:
- Senior experience (8–10+ years) in UX with strong focus on Information Architecture in large enterprise environments.
- Proven experience deg intranet or digital workplace IA for organisations with 10,000+ employees.
- Strong experience working in global organisations with local business units or factories.
- Experience deg personalisation frameworks (role-based and/or location-based).
- Experience conducting stakeholder workshops and navigating complex organisational landscapes.
- Strong documentation and visualisation skills (site maps, flows, IA blueprints).
- Experience collaborating closely with business, UX, and IT stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).
Meriting:
- Experience working with Staffbase or similar intranet platforms.
- Experience from manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience consolidating multiple intranet platforms into a single architecture.
- Understanding of employee experience and internal communications.
You are a structured and analytical professional who thrives in complex environments and brings clarity to fragmented landscapes. You are confident facilitating workshops, challenging assumptions, and driving architectural decisions.
You are able to balance global consistency with local flexibility and understand the importance of governance in large-scale intranet environments. You are pragmatic and outcome-oriented, comfortable working in an enterprise context where alignment and stakeholder management are essential. You are unpretentious and confident operating at all levels, moving seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
