We are looking for a Senior Configuration Manager with a strong combination of deep technical expertise and clear leadership capabilities to ensure quality, stability, and efficiency in complex IT deliveries.
The role is part of a large transformation initiative aimed at modernizing accounting and reporting processes by moving from multiple legacy solutions to a new cloud-based platform. The environment includes ongoing integrations with several upstream and downstream systems, as well as collaboration across multiple agile teams spanning IT development and business operations.
The solution landscape consists of customized functionality running in a dedicated Oracle cloud environment, parallel updates of legacy systems, and configuration of an Oracle-based accounting SaaS platform. In this role, you will take ownership of configuration, change, and release management processes within a large Oracle-based setup. You will develop and enhance configuration management practices, coordinate technical teams, and ensure that changes are implemented in a controlled and traceable manner.
You will drive continuous improvements to increase maturity within configuration management, working both strategically and hands-on when needed. The role also requires ensuring compliance with documentation, policies, and established procedures, while acting as a key link between technology teams, project management, and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience as a Configuration Manager, Release Manager or similar role.
- Solid technical background with experience in software development and infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and accustomed to leading both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work structured, analytically with high quality awareness.
- Master’s degree in information technology or related field, or corresponding work experience.
- Experience from complex integration environments and large transformation programs.
- Solid experience in modern CM principles as Infrastructure as Code (IAC), CI/CD, etc.
- Well familiar with commonly used IAC tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Expert skills with Git as a source code versioning tool.
- Well familiar with CI-servers like for example Jenkins, CloudBees, GitLab CI/CD, etc.
- Solid programming/scripting skills from an automation perspective of software configuration management and deployment processing
- Solid understanding of relational data bases and related concepts like views, triggers, constraints, SQL (not just queries and data manipulation, but also covering DDL, TCL, DCL), stored procedures, etc…
- Solid experience in Bash programming
Desirable Qualifications:
- Documented experience working in Oracle environments (e.g., databases, middleware or applications).
- Hands-on experience of tools for version control and configuration management of data base schemas, e.g using Liquibase or similar tools.
- Leadership experience from agile organizations.
