We are looking for a Mechanical structural engineer.
In this role, you will develop structural designs and select materials to ensure the turbine system withstands environmental loads such as waves, wind, and fatigue. You work closely with mechanical design engineers to ensure proper integration of structural components and materials. The role includes deg testing protocols to evaluate material durability and service life, as well as ensuring structural integrity through simulation and physical testing. You also contribute to material selection with a focus on corrosion resistance and fatigue performance, particularly for marine environments.
Qualifications:
- You have an M.Sc. or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- You have approximately 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering or materials science.
- You have experience in marine systems, offshore engineering, or renewable energy, which is considered a benefit.
- You have strong knowledge of structural analysis and finite element modeling using tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- You have a proven track record of selecting marine-grade materials and analyzing performance under harsh environmental conditions.
- You have excellent collaboration and communication skills and are fluent in spoken and written English.
- You have a strong drive to learn and contribute to product development.
