Mechanical Design Engineer

Assignment description

We are looking for a Mechanical design engineer.

In this role, you will create detailed 3D models, CAD designs, and assembly drawings for turbine systems and related components. You work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet performance targets and are suitable for manufacturing. The role includes collaboration with structural engineers to optimize mechanical strength and durability, as well as preparing designs for prototyping, testing, and production. You support design reviews, update designs based on test results, and maintain accurate design documentation. A key part of the work is ensuring that designs are feasible to produce, with consideration for manufacturing constraints, cost efficiency, and ease of assembly.

Qualifications:

• You have a master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or or closely related fields.
• You have at least 5 years experience in mechanical design with strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, etc.).
• You have experience in product design; experience with marine systems is a plus.
• You have a solid understanding of mechanical principles, including stress analysis, thermal performance, and materials.
• You have experience in deg rotating mechanical systems, including gearboxes, shafts, bearings, and related components.
• You have strong attention to the detail and ability to produce manufacturable designs.
• You have the ability to work in a cross-functional team and communicate designs clearly.
• You have excellent collaboration and communication skills; fluency in spoken and written English is required.
• You have strong drive to learn and contribute to product development.
