We are seeking a Senior Frontend/Fullstack Developer with experience in Sample Management Applications (SaMa) for a client in the pharmaceutical industry. The position requires on-site presence.
You are responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of SaMa, a web-based sample management application used within R&D laboratories. The application manages the full lifecycle of samples, including ordering, tracking, and inventory handling, and is integrated with other laboratory systems such as Mosaic (from Cenevo) and IMS.
The position has a strong frontend orientation while also covering backend and API-related work. You collaborate closely with stakeholders and laboratory scientists to turn user requirements into high-quality technical solutions, while ensuring that architectural standards and code quality are upheld. Your work includes leading the development and continuous improvement of the SaMa frontend built as a Vue single-page application, contributing to backend implementation using Python and FastAPI, creating and delivering functionality for ordering, tracking, and analytical use cases, maintaining alignment between technical solutions and business needs, supporting integrations with external laboratory systems, and working on-site on a regular basis together with laboratory teams, including wet lab scientists.
Required Qualifications:
- Well-developed communication abilities and a proven ability to work collaboratively
- Practical experience in building frontend solutions
- An academic background within computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent discipline
- Understanding of core software architecture concepts
- Extensive hands-on experience working with Python, combined with a strong foundation in backend and API development
It is considered meritorious if you have experience working with Vue. It is considered meritorious if you have experience with SQL and Oracle databases. It is also considered meritorious if you have experience with laboratory systems or sample management workflows.
