Job Description

We are seeking a Typesetter and Graphic Designer with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. The primary responsibility will be to modify existing design files to meet client specifications. As you grow in the role, opportunities will arise to undertake custom design projects from scratch. This position offers part-time hours with the potential for full-time employment and is ideal for candidates who are available during our office hours in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Modify and adjust existing design files primarily in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Export finalized designs to PDF using specified presets, ensuring all print requirements are met.
• Progress to creating original design projects as skills and understanding of client needs develop.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects with a commitment to quality and precision.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing skills in typesetting and graphic design, particularly within the print industry.
• Ability to complete a test project that involves making minor adjustments to an existing template and exporting it in 2 different PDF presets.
• Proficient understanding of printing requirements such as bleeds, margins, CMYK, and safety lines.
• Available to work 12-20 hours per week as a freelancer, aligning with Central or Eastern Time Zone business hours.
• Individual freelancers only; no agencies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
