Housekeeper - Ward 43
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our team as a Housekeeper.

As a Housekeeper, you will contribute directly to the patient experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation, ensuring the ward environment supports safe and effective care delivery at all times.
You will work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, collaborating with a wide range of professionals to support the day-to-day running of the ward. By managing non-clinical services efficiently, you will enable the clinical team to focus fully on patient care without disruption.
A key aspect of the role is maintaining and promoting infection prevention and control standards, ensuring that all facilities and equipment meet required guidelines for safety, cleanliness and patient comfort.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team, and understands the importance of a high-quality ward environment in delivering outstanding patient care.

Work closely with the Ward Leader and Matron to deliver key National Standards, such as Essence of Care, National Standards of Cleanliness, and PEAT Standards.
Adhere to infection control principles and contribute to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety across the ward.
Ensure all areas meet the national standards required, including Essence of Care, National Standards of Cleanliness, and PLACE standards.
Support the clinical team in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
