We are currently seeking to fill the position of Head of Geography at Badminton School.

Position: Head of Geography

Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA

Hours: The post will involve teaching between 0.8 and a full timetable

Start date: 1 September 2026

The closing date for this position will be Monday 20th April at 8:00am

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 27th April

Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date, and the school reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made; applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.

The start date for the post is 1 September; however, we would consider a January start for the right candidate.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Head of Geography to lead the department at Badminton.

Main responsibilities include:

• To have overall responsibility for leading and managing Geography

• Ensure Geography is taught in an interesting and challenging manner, enabling each pupil to realise her potential

• Contribute to the teaching of the department as set out in the timetable

• Develop appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work

• Represent the department in all matters within the school related to the curriculum within Head of Department and full staff meetings
