Staff Engineer – Cloud / SaaS

We are looking for a senior consultant for a strategic assignment to establish the foundation of a new digital platform within medtech. The platform will replace several existing systems and support multiple markets and customer types in a multi-tenant SaaS environment. Scope of the assignment Define target architecture for a cloud-native platform (AWS) Design data models, service boundaries, and API structure Establish CI/CD, infrastructure, and scalable operations Design solutions for multi-tenancy, authorization, and authentication Enable self-service capabilities for different markets and internal functions Integrate with existing systems and external third-party services (e.g. video) Take the solution from concept to initial production release Document architecture and provide clear guidelines for engineering teams Required experience Proven experience building cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure is a plus) Previous responsibility for architecture in complex SaaS products (preferably in regulated environments such as medtech or fintech) Strong understanding of multi-tenant architectures Ability to make early architectural decisions and execute on them Experience integrating with multiple existing systems Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Tech stack AWS (primary) TypeScript React (web) Third-party integrations (e.g. real-time communication/video)
