Devops/IT engineer - gaming
Description
We’re looking for an experienced contract DevOps / IT engineer to support an upcoming first game release at a growing game studio. This role is on-site in Stockholm. This is a 3-month engagement starting as soon as possible. The assignment is focused on keeping existing development infrastructure stable, secure, and efficient, with the goal of minimizing development downtime. Most core systems are already in place; the emphasis is on operations, support, and improvement rather than greenfield setup. Scope of Work Maintain and support development infrastructure and internal IT systems Own and support Perforce (Helix Core) administration and troubleshooting Manage build machines, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant automation Support developer workflows (workstations, access, permissions, backups) Monitor system health, uptime, and storage Troubleshoot production-impacting issues in a fast, pragmatic way Required Experience Proven, hands-on experience administering Perforce (mandatory) Strong DevOps / infrastructure background Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build systems Solid understanding of networking, security, and access control Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues under time pressure Previous experience supporting a game development environment Nice to Have Familiarity with Unreal Engine workflows Experience supporting release management processes Contract length: 3 months Start: ASAP Location: On-site, Stockholm Time commitment: To be agreed (part-time or close to full-time)
