Role Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Engineer who has hands‑on experience deg, deploying, and optimizing systems built with Java, Postgres, and Bigtable within Google Cloud Platform. This person should excel at solving complex technical challenges, take initiative, and communicate clearly—especially when leading technical discussions or collaborative sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and scale backend services using Java, Postgres, and Bigtable in a GCP environment.
• Create and maintain data processing workflows leveraging tools such as Scio and Flight.
• Work closely with teammates, offering constructive feedback and contributing to an efficient, high‑performing engineering culture.
• Lead deep technical investigations and run engineering-focused workshops.
• Prepare and deliver demos, presentations, and technical walkthroughs for stakeholders.

Core Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing scalable services on Google Cloud Platform using Java, Postgres, and Bigtable.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, action-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfortable guiding technical deep dives and facilitating workshops with various audiences.
