Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will be developing, testing and maintaining software applications as well as the implementation of features, fix bugs and participation in code reviews. The job holder will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and assisting in defining technical requirements, contributing significantly to project planning and estimation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participating in the design and architecture of software projects, taking into account scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Supporting maintenance needs, whether these are for in-house developments or require the interaction with vendors/suppliers.
• Handling issues and providing valid solutions.
• Assisting in the mentoring of other team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Collaborating with teams, including cross-functional and multidisciplinary groups, to drive successful project outcomes.
• Aligning with the software development lifecycle and the procedures defined for the department.
• Supporting the IT Delivery aspects of larger-scale and critical projects, participating in the development process from planning to deployment.
• Communicating with stakeholders, presents technical solutions and providing insights to drive decision-making and project success.

This position requires the ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including the possibility of on-call responsibilities.

Required Criteria:

Previous proven work experience in a Software Engineering-related role AND an MQF Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area.
