About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Software Engineer specializing in JavaScript/TypeScript to join our dynamic team. This role is centered on developing high-quality, scalable, and innovative applications, with a keen emphasis on leveraging AWS's serverless technologies. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of web development, particularly using React for frontend and Express for backend development, and a passion for creating efficient serverless applications on AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Utilize AWS CloudFormation and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Implement robust security measures in application design and deployment, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that development practices align with the organizations security and data protection goals.
- Participate actively in all phases of the development lifecycle, emphasizing CI/CD practices for automated testing and deployment.
What You Will Bring:
- Technical Proficiency: 3+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on JavaScript/TypeScript. Proficiency in web development using React and Express is essential. Experience with serverless application development on AWS, including services like Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and SES.
- Cloud and Security Expertise: A solid understanding of cloud security practices, including experience with AWS security tools like IAM and KMS. Familiarity with ISO 27001,, and other compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Infrastructure Automation: Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, and a commitment to continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure management and deployment processes.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience collaborating with IT and Data Protection Specialists to align development practices with organizational security and data protection goals.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to handle complex technical challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with deg and implementing microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of database design, MySQL, and NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with additional AWS services and CI/CD tools.
