Audit Supervisor

Responsibilities

Reporting to the management team and Audit Partner, the Audit Supervisor shall:

  • Perform all project management aspects of the audit assignment including agreeing audit
  • timelines, team briefings, supervision, delivery of audit work and ensuring clients are properly serviced and engagements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review Financial Statements in accordance with GAPSME and IFRS.
  • Provide on the job learning giving meaningful feedback in a timely manner. Assist in the formulation of professional development and educational plans for members of staff.
  • Staying current with accounting and auditing advancements, predicting their effects on clients, and providing proactive solutions.
  • Perform other Audit and Assurance engagements, as may be required.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel and meet client and firm deadlines.

What are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in accounting or equivalent qualification through ACCA or ACA.

Experience:

  • At least 2 - 3 years experience in a client auditing role.

Key Requirements:

  • Have a sound knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS and IAS reporting standards.
  • Conversant with standard software packages, proficient in MS Excel and ready to learn companyspecific software if required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work with a team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver within tight time frames.
