Senior Application Python Developer 🚀

At Ematiq, we develop real-time systems that empower data-driven decision-making across our trading platforms. We are currently looking for a Senior Application Python Developer to join our team and work on tools that support our data science and trading teams, as well as implement trading strategies in production. We are looking for people passionate about development of performant, strongly typed Python-based applications and have knowledge of asynchronous programming, ideally via asyncio . We use a custom actor-based library combining asyncio and multiprocessing to handle a high volume of real-time events with maximum responsiveness and performance. We value engineers who can balance quality and speed—rapidly prototyping business ideas when needed, while also writing high-quality, production-level code for core systems. While this role requires strong technical expertise, it is equally about deeply understanding the needs of the trading department. You will work closely with traders to gather insights, identify challenges, and translate their requirements into effective technical solutions that drive business success.
