When budgets are tight and they can't pay full rent on the 1st, they get hit with $20-$50 late fees. Most Canadians are paid bi-weekly, but rent is due in full on the 1st, which makes budgeting more challenging. Zenbase fixes this. We redesign rent payments by splitting them to match our members' income schedules, ensuring rent is paid on time while helping them build credit. In just 24 months, we’ve saved our members ~$1M in late fees, and our traction is accelerating. How We Work Highly Focused Process: We don't do micromanagement or bloated agile ceremonies. We do weekly iterations with extremely short feedback loops. True Product Mindset: We don’t have a PM, QA or designer. Deeply understand the business, refine requirements, and collectively prioritize work. Full Ownership: We lead your own projects, manage our backlog, and own the entire engineering lifecycle — from partner communication, problem analysis and system design to automated testing, deployment, and production support. The Work You’ll build and maintain resilient services connecting 3rd party APIs, develop our end user and backoffice web applications using a serverless architecture. You’ll ensure our platform remains industrial-grade as we scale in complexity and user base, tackling everything from reconciliation, audit logging, vendor integrations, Postgres performance tuning, monitoring and new product initiatives.
