Senior Smart City / ICT / Security Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Smart City / ICT / Security Systems Engineer to lead the planning, design, and integration of digital infrastructure across large-scale urban developments. This role is responsible for delivering smart city systems including ICT networks, intelligent transport systems (ITS), and security solutions, ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure, utilities, and built environments. The position requires a strong systems integrator capable of translating digital strategies into coordinated, implementable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead smart city strategies, digital architectures, and system integration frameworks
• Design and coordinate ICT and telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber networks, wireless systems, and data centres
• Plan and integrate Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), including traffic management, smart parking, and mobility platforms
• Lead the design of security systems such as CCTV, access control, and city-wide surveillance
• Coordinate with utilities teams for integration of smart metering, SCADA, and operational systems
• Act as the central integration point across all disciplines (infrastructure, transport, architecture, landscape)
• Prepare system layouts, architecture diagrams, specifications, and tender documentation
• Ensure full integration of systems within BIM and digital platforms
• Support stakeholder coordination and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience
• Proven experience in smart city or large-scale urban development projects
• Demonstrated expertise in:
• ICT and telecom infrastructure
• Smart city platforms and IoT ecosystems
• Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
• Security and surveillance systems
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination across infrastructure and urban systems
• Middle East / international project experience is preferred
