Investment Analyst

We are looking for an Investment Analyst or Associate to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the evaluation of post-PMF investment opportunities through on-the-ground primary research in Singapore, India, and Southeast Asia, conducting in-depth industry research for domestic and global markets to identify key insights, building financial models to analyse companies, and supporting the investment team in portfolio management and making strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

Due Diligence:

• Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, analyzing market dynamics, competitive landscapes, financial statements, and other relevant factors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the technical, operational, and legal aspects of potential investments.

Financial Modeling:

• Develop detailed financial models to assess the financial health, growth potential, and valuation of target companies.
• Assist in scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support investment decision-making.

Market Research:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights to the broader investment team.
• Conduct market research to identify potential investment sectors and opportunities.

Portfolio Management:

• Support the ongoing management and monitoring of the existing portfolio, providing regular updates on performance and key metrics.
• Support portfolio companies to identify growth opportunities & address challenges.

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare comprehensive memos and reports for the broader team.
• Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and insights.

Ideal Candidate

• At least 1 year of experience in buy-side investing, investment banking, or equity research
• Strong foundation in financial modelling, valuation, and analytical thinking
• Ability to break down complex problems into clear insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Strong interest in technology, startups, and emerging markets
