As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead  a team of 8-12 software engineers while driving predictable, high‑quality delivery. You’ll combine strong leadership with Agile expertise to support team growth, optimize workflows, and remove impediments. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have the opportunity to drive technical direction and modify process and procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership & Coaching: Develop and mentor engineers, support career growth, conduct regular 1:1s, and foster a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Agile Delivery: Lead and support Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Agile practices, and improve predictability, flow, and delivery quality.
  • Impediment & Dependency Management: Identify and resolve blockers, manage cross-team dependencies, and remove obstacles to maintain engineering momentum.
  • Planning & Execution: Oversee sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and capacity management to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery aligned to business objectives.
  • Technical Excellence: Participate in code and architecture conversations, champion best practices, and ensure quality, security, and reliability standards are upheld.

Skills You’ll Need

  • People Leadership: Proven experience coaching and developing engineers, building an inclusive culture, and leading high‑performing teams.
  • Engineering Background: 5+ years in software engineering, 2+ years as a senior or principal engineer and 3+ years managing or leading remote technical teams, with the ability to engage in technical discussions. Experience in React, C#, and Azure a plus.
  • **Agile Expertise:**Experience working in Agile (specifically Scrum), experience running ceremonies, and the ability to drive continuous improvement and predictable delivery.
  • Delivery & Planning: Skilled in sprint planning, capacity management, estimation, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software projects.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to align cross‑functional teams, manage stakeholders, and translate technical concepts clearly.
