Community Manager

We are hiring a Reddit Community Manager to build, manage, and grow brand presence on Reddit in a way that feels natural, trusted, and useful.

This is not a general social media role. Reddit works differently. It has its own culture, rules, and expectations. We need someone who understands the platform from real experience, knows how communities grow, and can create content and engagement that people actually respond to.

This is a full time role and requires full time commitment. We are looking for someone dependable, self motivated, hard working, and able to operate independently at a high standard.

What you will do

• Research subreddits, audience behavior, posting norms, rules, and active discussion trends
• Build and execute Reddit community strategies based on client goals and community fit
• Write and publish posts and comments that match the tone and language of each subreddit
• Create engaging content designed to spark replies, discussion, saves, and sharing
• Help build high engagement communities quickly through smart execution, including AMA planning, giveaways, moderator collaborations, and community activation ideas
• Manage activity across multiple subreddits, and client workstreams
• Monitor replies, sentiment, moderation actions, and community feedback
• Respond to users in a thoughtful, useful, and human way
• Spot trends, recurring questions, objections, and content opportunities early
• Track performance and report on what is working, what is not, and why
• Work closely with internal team members to keep strategy and execution aligned

What we are looking for

• An active Reddit user with real platform experience
• A Reddit account with karma that shows genuine participation and engagement on the platform
• Strong understanding of how Reddit communities grow and what drives engagement
• Ability to write content that is engaging, conversation led, and has strong viral potential when the topic and subreddit fit are right
• Strong instinct for what feels native on Reddit and what feels forced or promotional
• Ability to work independently without needing constant direction
• Self motivated, committed, and willing to work hard
• Trustworthy and professional, especially when working across client accounts and sensitive communities
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once

Required experience

• Experience in community management, content, social media, or a related role
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Strong understanding of Reddit culture, subreddit behavior, and community dynamics
• Experience growing or managing online communities
• Ability to analyze engagement and community performance

Strong pluses

• Experience building communities quickly from an early stage
• Experience running or supporting giveaways, AMAs, and moderator outreach
• Experience managing brand presence in sensitive or highly opinionated categories
• Understanding of how Reddit supports trust, discovery, and search visibility
