Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to support automation activities across both modernized and legacy systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role involves contributing to the planning, design, execution, and continuous improvement of automation projects, supporting new product development and operational excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of automation and control systems
- Assist in building equipment and evaluating system reliability and performance improvements
- Contribute to automation project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
- Compile and manage automation project requirements and documentation
- Support regulatory compliance assessments (FDA, ISO) and identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver automation project tasks within defined timelines and quality standards
- Assist in change management activities, including scope, cost, and schedule impact analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Communicate effectively on project status, deliverables, and workflows
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
- Experience supporting or delivering automation projects in manufacturing environments
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of quality systems (FDA / ISO) in regulated industries
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commissioning and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Exposure to process engineering or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens / Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and automation technologies
