QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in Manual Testing and a good understanding of Automation Testing concepts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing web and/or mobile applications, preparing test artifacts, executing test cases, and collaborating with development and business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform various types of manual testing including Functional, Regression, System, Integration, UAT, and Smoke Testing.
• Execute test cases, log defects, track them to closure, and work closely with developers for resolution.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test strategy preparation.
• Review and validate requirements from a QA perspective to identify gaps and ambiguities.
• Perform API testing and basic database validation using SQL.
• Understand automation frameworks and scripts; assist in identifying test cases for automation.
• Work with automation engineers to support script development and execution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and defect triage.
• Prepare test reports, metrics, and quality status dashboards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Manual Testing of web and/or mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT testing.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA, X ray, etc.).
• Good understanding of Automation Testing concepts and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Basic knowledge of any programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
