We are now seeking a committed and analytical Compliance Officer for our Stockholm office. In this role, you will work closely with the business in an international environment, expanding and deepening your expertise as the bank continues its growth across the Nordic region.

About the Role

As a Compliance Officer, you will join the Nordic Compliance team and report to the Head of CIB Compliance Nordic. The position is based in Stockholm and focuses primarily on the bank’s activities in Sweden and Finland, with some transversal responsibilities also covering the Denmark and Norway CIB branches

In this role, you will contribute with your legal and regulatory expertise and work broadly across the bank’s operations

• acting as advisor, control function, and partner to the business. You will play a key role in identifying, monitoring, reporting, and managing compliance risks, while supporting the organisation in maintaining strong and effective compliance standards

The role offers a place in a professional compliance team, wide-ranging tasks, international visibility, and the opportunity to take ownership and responsibility in a dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, interpreting, and staying up to date with regulatory developments in Sweden and Finland, providing timely guidance on how to adapt processes and procedures accordingly.
• Identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting compliance risks, including AML/CTF, Sanctions, MiFID, MAR, ABC and other relevant regulatory areas
• Suggesting corrective actions, ensuring follow-up and escalation when needed
• Producing compliance risk assessments and other risk reporting for Nordic CIB branches
• Driving, owning, and enhancing local compliance processes, routines, and actions.
• Coordinating the Nordic Compliance team’s input to projects and key regulatory questions, in close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Training and supporting business units, relationship managers, and internal stakeholders on compliance matters.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone with strong analytical skills who is confident in their expertise and naturally acts as a partner to the business.

You have:

• A Swedish or Finnish law degree (LL.M.) or a Master’s in Business Law.
• 3–5 years of compliance experience from a bank or other financial institution
• Background in one or more regulatory areas such as AML/CTF, Sanctions, MiFID, MAR and ABC.
• Experience advising business stakeholders on regulatory matters.
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English; Finnish is an advantage.

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently. You communicate clearly, build trust, and collaborate easily across teams and countries. You enjoy a role where you shift between strategic analysis and hands-on execution. You are unpretentious, curious, and eager to contribute perspectives that help develop the team’s work.
