Purchase Ledger Clerk

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are partnering with a Retail Company in London to recruit an immediate, temporary fixed term Purchase Ledger Clerk for 9 months.

Role:

Our client is looking for an immediate Fixed Term, Purchase Ledger Clerk to assist them for 9 months. You will be responsible for following duties:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (three-way matching)
• Ensure proper approval and coding of invoices according to company policies
• Prepare and execute payment runs (e.g., bank transfers, checks)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
• Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and company procedures
• Mulit currency and stock invoice processing

Profile:

The successful temporary Purchase Ledger clerk will either be a Finance graduate looking to gain entry level finance experience or have over 2 years experience.

You must be immediate or 1 weeks notice to be considered for this role.

Salary & Benefits:

This role is paying between £35,000-£40,000 pro rata.
