In-house Property Lawyer
- Location: London (Hybrid Working)
- Job Type: Full-time
- Contract: 12-month FTC
We are seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a successful business, providing expert legal advice across a broad range of issues within the legal function. This role is ideal for a qualified solicitor with a strong background in property law and a keen sense for commercial acumen.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences, and other supplemental documents on a large scale.
- Provide advice on landlord and tenant disputes and commercial conveyancing.
- Instruct and liaise with external lawyers, including international law firms for properties abroad.
- Address a wide variety of property queries from across the network.
- Collaborate with fit-out teams and surveyors to deliver projects to deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be a qualified solicitor with approximately 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Must have commercial landlord and tenant law expertise in a previous role.
- In-house experience is highly beneficial but not mandatory, as long as you have property law experience.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant law and associated practice areas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own caseload, identify risks, and present sound commercial solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
