Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and DevOps engineering. In this role, you will contribute to building and operating a strategic platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that supports next-generation digital services aligned with the organization’s long-term technology vision.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, service mesh technologies, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code, along with a strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities****Cloud Platform Engineering

• Architect, implement, and maintain highly resilient, scalable, and secure Kubernetes environments on GCP.
• Engineer and optimize Kubernetes infrastructure supporting multi-tenant workloads.
• Ensure strong resource isolation, operational scalability, and high availability across cloud environments.

Kubernetes & Service Mesh

• Manage and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio or Anthos for secure service-to-service communication.
• Configure Istio telemetry, sidecar injection, and mTLS enforcement.

Security & Governance

• Implement strong security controls including:
• OPA Gatekeeper policies
• Fine-grained RBAC
• mTLS encryption
• Secure service mesh configurations
• Apply least-privilege access principles and cloud security best practices.

CI/CD & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Automate platform provisioning and configuration using modern DevOps practices.

Observability & Performance

• Implement observability frameworks using tools such as:
• Prometheus
• Dynatrace
• OpenTelemetry
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance, networking, and automation issues.
• Optimize system performance and ensure platform reliability.

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Support the full lifecycle management of cloud-native services.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
