Claims Handler (Highways & Construction) - Immediate Start

Location: Northampton Hybrid Working Rate: £13.45 per hour Contract: 3-Month Initial Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity) Benefits: 34 Days Holiday (pro rata)

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Claims Handler with a background in Highways, Construction, or Insurance? We are looking for a focused and resilient individual to join a busy team in Northampton. This is an immediate requirement where you will take ownership of 3rd party highway claims, specifically focusing on pothole damage and infrastructure-related incidents.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will manage the end-to-end claims process. You will be responsible for:

• Claims Processing: Managing a high volume of 3rd party highway claims (Pothole damage).
• Investigation: Reviewing evidence, site reports, and contractor data to determine liability.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Communicating with claimants, legal teams, and internal highways departments.
• Data Integrity: Ensuring all claims are logged accurately and progressed within strict legal and internal timelines.

This role offers a flexible balance of office and homework:

• In-Office: 2-3 days per week (Must be in the office every Tuesday and Wednesday).
• Remote: Remaining days can be worked from home.

What You'll Need

• Essential: Previous experience in Claims Handling.
• Preferred: Direct experience within the highways or construction sectors.
• Technical Savvy: Ability to navigate complex internal databases and 3rd party portals.
• Communication: A professional and empathetic telephone manner, combined with clear, concise written skills
