Your new role As a Procurement Business Partner, you will support mostly across Corporate Services & IT.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising and influencing senior stakeholders on procurement planning and risk-aware decision-making.
  • Developing and delivering long-term category strategies for high-value or high-risk areas.
  • Leading end-to-end sourcing activity, including tendering, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Managing contracts and supplier performance, driving continuous improvement through KPIs and reviews.
  • Providing commercial and analytical input into key business initiatives and investment cases.
  • Ensuring governance, compliance with regulations, and alignment to corporate, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Supporting knowledge sharing and building capability across the procurement function.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset with an understanding of procurement's role in delivering value and managing risk.
  • Proven experience delivering efficiency, cost savings, or value improvements - especially within IT procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and influence change.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management capability.
  • Effective stakeholder management across a wide range of seniorities and functions.
  • Working knowledge of UK/EU procurement regulations and commercial contract models. PCR15 & PA23 working experience is crucial to this role.
  • CIPS qualification (or working toward it) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ERP, SRM, and e-procurement tools.
