People Administrator (9-month FTC), Capper Street, London
Role Purpose:
The People Administrator (9-month FTC) plays a key role in supporting the People team by delivering accurate, compliant HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, leveraging our people systems to enhance processes and improve the overall employee experience. This role is ideal for someone looking to pursue a career in HR as it will provide exposure across Payroll Management, Record Keeping, HR Support, Reporting, Compliance and Employee Communication.
Key Accountabilities:
HR and Payroll Administration:
· Managing New Starter/Changes/Leaver administration process for Head Office, DC and Retail employees from a HR perspective, both contractually and through the HRIS system
· Reference management by obtaining references for new employees and issuing references for ex-employees
· Key activity and processes relating to the employee cycle, specifically onboarding
· Maintain electronic filing, ensuring that folders are kept as streamlined as possible - regularly deleted and archiving information
· Payroll administration as part of the employee lifecycle
· Responsible for sending out starters and leavers communication in a timely manner
· Benefits enrolment file uploads where applicable
Record keeping & reporting:
· Completion of medical health questionnaire audit to ascertain risk
· Updating various trackers and reports as the business needs and on a cyclical basis
· Electronic filing of leavers within employee database folders
Communications:
· Recognition awards such as Long Service Awards, ad hoc gifts/compassionate flowers
· Ability to respond to employee queries in a clear in line with SLA>
Desired Skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook
· Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to payroll and HR.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity
· Ability to communicate clearly across different levels of the organisation
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate prioritisation skills
· Previous experience with HRIS system is desired but not mandatory
· Passion for data accuracy and attention to detail
