Role: Teaching Assistant Location: M20 Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Pay: £14 - £16 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)
The Role:
This Teaching Assistant role is based in a welcoming primary school in the M20 area, seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team on a full-time, long-term basis. This Teaching Assistant position is for year 5 and to start ASAP and will continue for the rest of the school year (with the chance to extend further).
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working on a general basis across year 5 classrooms, while also providing additional support to pupils with SEND. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is proactive, nurturing, and confident supporting a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learning as a Teaching Assistant across the primary age range
- Provide general classroom support as a Teaching Assistant
- Work 1:1 and in small groups supporting pupils with SEND
- Help adapt resources to suit different learning needs
- Support pupil engagement and behaviour as a Teaching Assistant
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting
- Experience supporting SEND pupils is highly desirable
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
