Legal Counsel

This Legal Counsel role, based in Leeds, offers a fantastic 12 month FTC opportunity within a leading global media business. You'll provide commercially focused legal advice while managing a broad range of contract work across multiple business areas.

Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements

• Advising on contracts with both clients and suppliers across multiple business areas

• Supporting business teams in negotiations and providing clear risk assessments

• Advising on contract interpretation, dispute resolution and negotiation strategy

• Supporting the development and implementation of commercial initiatives

• Advising on contract law, intellectual property and data protection matters

• Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to support business objectives

Profile

The Legal Counsel should be:

• A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE as a guide

• Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts

• Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions focused

• A clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

• Highly organised with strong ownership and autonomy

• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
