Senior Building Control Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Building Control Surveyor Location: Blackpool Rate: £23.69 per hour Contract: Ongoing Locum, Full-Time (37 hours per week) Working Pattern: Primarily remote with occasional office attendance and site visits

Seven Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Building Control Surveyor to join a forward-thinking team in Blackpool. What you will do:

• Manage and assess a caseload of building control projects, including plan appraisals and site inspections.
• Evaluate dangerous structures and coordinate necessary remedial actions.
• Supervise and support trainees, apprentices, and assistants within the team.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as Fire Services, Police, and contractors.
• Independently manage development sites and maintain accurate inspection and compliance records.
• Assist with special projects and undertake occasional out-of-hours work when required.

Essential criteria:

• Registration with the Building Safety Regulator (minimum Class 2E
• Assessment and Inspection).
• Full membership with CABE, RICS, or MCIOB.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building control.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and Building Regulations.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
