Procurement Specialist / Junior Buyer

£18 per hour (Inside IR35)

Newbury (Hybrid)

Your New Role

Our client are a rapidly growing organisation in Newbury who are looking for a Junior Buyer to join their busy procurement team. The role encompasses a nice mix of both strategic responsibilities, including, supplier evaluation and management, cost reduction initiatives, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Also, operational elements, including, maintain ERP accuracy, managing POs, conducting contract reviews, procure factory consumables, inventory coordination and engaging in developmental exercises.

Ensuring Your Success

Ideally, you will have demonstrable experience within a busy procurement function in a role that offered exposure to a variety different responsibilities. Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge is key to this role, utilising the systems to support purchasing and production planning. You will be a technically savvy individual who can pick up new software and systems quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to negotiate and manage suppliers effectively. CIPS qualification is desirable and a background in electronics would also be beneficial, but not essential.
