The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Creative Curriculum: Crafting Maths sessions that move away from the abstract and toward functional life skills tailored for SEN students.
• Differentiated Delivery: Expertly navigating P-Scales and Entry Level certificates to provide a bespoke learning journey for every child.
• Outcome Focused: Monitoring "small-step" achievement and ensuring every milestone is recognised to boost student morale.
• Integrated Support: Coordinating with SENCOs and external specialists to align classroom activities with EHCP requirements.
• Safe Environment: Upholding a high standard of pastoral care and student well being, including personal care assistance when required.

Requirements:

• QTS: You must hold a valid UK Qualified Teacher Status.
• SEN Background: Demonstrated experience teaching Maths within a specialist school or a dedicated SEN unit.
• Versatility: Skilled in managing classrooms for students with ASD, ADHD, and Complex Needs, with a focus on positive behaviour support.
• Disposition: A compassionate, high-energy educator who enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Security: A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a commitment to apply for one now).
