Contract Programme Manager (Digital Transformation)
My Aerospace client in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced IT Project/Programme Manager to lead the creation and delivery of a full-site Digital Transformation strategy. The organisation operates within the defence sector, so active SC clearance is essential.
Role: Programme Manager (Transformation & Operational Technology)
Location: East Midlands
Rate: Competitive daily rate, Outside IR35
Working pattern: Full-time, 3 days on-site / 2 days remote
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, definition and delivery of a comprehensive Digital Transformation programme, covering infrastructure modernisation, operational systems, data platforms, cyber security and workplace technologies.
- Develop a detailed transformation roadmap, including dependencies, cost modelling, risk analysis, milestones and benefits realisation.
- Produce the full business case (including Outline and Full Business Case where required), ensuring alignment with defence-sector standards, security requirements and organisational objectives.
- Establish and manage robust programme governance, including steering boards, technical working groups, risk and issue management, and reporting cycles.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale IT transformation or modernisation programmes, ideally within defence, aerospace, government or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of digital technologies such as cloud services, networking, cyber security, data management, enterprise applications and operational technology.
- Proven experience establishing and running programme governance aligned to PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or similar frameworks.
- SC clearance is required for this role, so you must either be eligible to apply for it or have previously held it.
- PRINCE2 certification are required.
