This isn't a routine processing role. It's focused, analytical work requiring attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to resolve issues properly.
Reporting to the Interim Accounts Payable Manager leading the reconciliation project, you will support a large-scale supplier clean-up initiative. Your focus will be on resolving duplicate accounts, clearing debit balances and capturing accurate supplier data to support future system requirements.

Lead on debit balance investigations, prioritising high-value accounts, reconciling to statements and securing missing invoices, credits and supporting evidence
Validate transactions thoroughly before clearance, ensuring accuracy and control at every stage
Build and maintain a clear, structured supplier matrix, capturing key data points to support system readiness and stronger future processes
Protect ledger integrity throughout the cleanse, providing clear progress updates and escalating risks early
Work confidently with suppliers and partner closely with the BAU AP team to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity

Strong analytical and investigative skills
Good working knowledge of Excel
The ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritise effectively
