Interim Management Accountant

Campbell Grove Talent are working exclusively with one of York's most well-regarded businesses - a large, highly profitable, multinational with a name that genuinely gets people excited. We're helping them find an Interim Management Accountant to cover a 12-month fixed term contract within their finance team.

This isn't your average interim role. It's a complex business with a wide range of income streams, a team that truly collaborates with each other, and a working environment that stands out in a crowded market.

The role

• You'll own the management accounts for the UK operation - full cycle, done properly.
• Day-to-day that looks like:
• Preparing UK management accounts end-to-end
• Journals, prepayments and accruals — month end here is a process, not a panic
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Full P&L ownership
• Expenses and credit card management, and fielding queries from the wider business
• Building relationships with non-finance teams and getting under the skin of how the business works
• Customer payments and responding to customer queries

What we're looking for:

• PQ or QBE - they're not hung up on letters after your name, they're far more interested in what you can do and whether you'll fit the team. And it's a good team, so that bit matters.
• Retail experience would be a real advantage here. This business moves fast and the numbers reflect that. If you've worked in retail finance before, you'll get it immediately.
• Beyond that, solid month end process experience, comfortable with complexity, and ready to roll your sleeves up when needed.
• You'll need to be available to start by 1st April at the latest.

Location

Predominantly on site in York, with some flexibility around hours and the odd day at home if needed. The office is worth turning up for. It's a genuinely collaborative environment and people choose to be there, which tells you something.
