We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a minimum qualification of an NVQ Level 2 & experience working in the clinical field who wishes to build their own career in the private home-visiting ear wax removal sector serving North West, West and South West London. Must live in this region.
Must have your own car and full driving licence to be able to drive to clients homes (mainly Greater London areas). We will provide an enhanced-DBS check which you will need to pass.
We are looking for someone who has full-time availability now. As we are a small team and young business growing our reputation, we are looking for someone who is willing to come on with a zero-hour contract and be paid according to the hours they work.
Each visit should take no longer than one hour and commuting time to a client may be up to 60-90 minutes. The number of clients may range between 2-4 per day. You will be paid for 2 hours per client visit which includes the travel time and procedure time. You will be provided with mileage/fuel expenses for the driving you do between clients at the HMRC rate of 45pence per mile for 10,000 miles an 25pence thereafter per year which is tax-free. This will calculated and paid separately.
Please note that the availability of work may be slow to start with as we build the marketing in your area. Days may vary from 2 hours to 8 hours per day but we are looking to get you fully booked to 6 to 8 hours per day which will be £90 to £120 for the day. Payment is made every 2 weeks for all appointments completed in the preceding 2 weeks. You can choose if you wish to be paid by self-employed or by zero-hour PAYE.
You will expected to be able to provide availability, at least 4 days a week, but ideally 5, which is flexible to you.
You must be professional, caring and reliable. We pride ourselves on our extremely low cancellation or rescheduling rate for our clients. We have regular 5 star reviews and aim to keep growing. Most of our clients are the elderly who are housebound so deserve the best care we can give.
Training:
You will be required to attend and pass the training to become certified to perform ear wax removal by micro-suction which takes only a few days. The minimum qualification required to undergo this training is an NVQ Level 2 and experience working in any clinical field. When invited to interview, more information will be provided about the training. It involves completing e-learning modules in your own time and then attending a practical day. We will pay the full price of this so we are not able to pay you for your study time or training time to undertake the training. Once you are certified, you will then be able to start work.
To build confidence, our lead nurse will attend your first few appointments with clients.
Responsibilities:
Performing home-visits to patients and perform ear examinations and ear wax removal
Monitoring bookings for patients in your area
Managing your own calendar (but you will need to have a minimum number of days availability)
Taking payments after consultations ( we will provide a card reader and have a system for accounting for cash).
Writing brief consultation reports
Ideal Experience:
At least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
Ideally experience in a clinical setting related to ear care but it is not necessary. We have nurses from backgrounds such as primary care and emergency care.
Type of work:
You will be paid on a zero-hour contract.
