Overview
We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Engineer for a short-term, on-site contract in Manchester. The role is focused on user support, onboarding new starters, laptop staging, and providing high-quality VIP support.
This position places a strong emphasis on communication, proactiveness, and customer service rather than deep technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT and desk-side support to office users
- Assist new joiners, including laptop setup and onboarding
- Stage and configure laptops prior to deployment
- Manage IT stock and assets
- Deliver VIP / executive support as required
- Support general ad-hoc IT requests
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an IT support / desktop support****role L2
- Proven knowledge of Intune
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently
- Confident supporting users at all levels
