Description

We’re supporting our client’s Health & Safety (H&S) team in delivering their H&S strategy, plans, and procedures, helping to drive continuous improvement across their UK operations. We now have an exciting opportunity to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract as a Health & Safety Specialist.

This role is either London or Regionally based.

Main Duties

Will be involved in working collaboratively in the following areas:

• Ensure records are maintained in the H&S system in line with specified requirements.

• Carry out DSE assessments both in person and virtually with the client staff.

• Accident and incident investigation, reporting and corrective action.

• Undertake actions to support the following H&S processes:

  • New and expectant mothers risk assessments
  • Young person’s risk assessments
  • Homeworkers’ risk assessments
  • Event risk assessment process
  • PEEPs
  • ensuring the staff and WEM understand the actions to be taken
  • Emergency Response
  • observe and write report of planned evacuations
  • Carrying out triage tasks such as the event RA tracker
  • There will be adhoc tasks/projects that will come up from time to time

Specific:

• Communicate key issues with the H&S Operations Lead promptly.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

• DSE experience and qualification from a recognised provider

Personality:

• Self-motivated, positive, reliable, tolerant, inquisitive, resilient and determined

• Able to get on with others and work collaboratively

Influencing:

• Can demonstrate an ability to persuade and influence others

Appearance:

• Well presented as appropriate to the working environment
