IT Manager

Robert Half are recruiting for an experienced IT Manager to join a growing HealthTech organisation based in Milton Keynes on an initial 3 month contract. This role will lead IT operations, infrastructure, service delivery, and cybersecurity within a fast paced, regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud platforms, endpoints, and core business applications

• Ensure high availability, performance, resilience, and security of IT systems

• Oversee 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support and act as the senior escalation point

• Establish and continuously improve IT policies, procedures, and service standards

• Allocate workload effectively and provide technical leadership to the IT function

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation

• Plan and deliver system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements

• Align IT initiatives with wider business objectives

• Manage cybersecurity risks including vulnerability management, patching, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning

• Oversee third party vendors and enforce robust access control policies

• Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to understand business requirements

• Provide regular reporting on IT performance, risk posture, and ongoing initiatives

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership role
• Strong background in IT operations and service delivery management
• Experience managing support functions and driving service improvement
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong hands on expertise across infrastructure, networking, and end user computing environments
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, storage, security)
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Strong administration experience across Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Hyper V virtualisation
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune and endpoint/mobile device management
• Strong understanding of firewall technologies, network security principles, and the OSI model
• Experience managing network switching environments

Contract

• Initial 3 month contract
• Competitive day rate - Inside IR35
• Hybrid working - Milton Keynes based
