Financial Accountant

This role owns statutory financial reporting and leads the audit process, working closely with global finance and external auditors. It also supports month-end reporting, variance analysis, retail rent certifications, and new store openings across the region. This role willl be on a fixed term contract basis, starting from six months.

Description

The key responsibilities of this Financial Accountant role will be:

• Prepare the statutory financial statements and manage the statutory financial audit process, working closely with external auditors, the global finance team, and local service providers.
• Review and reconcile key accounts and post monthly journal entries for month end reporting.
• Review monthly financial results and lead the actual to forecast variance analysis.
• Prepare turnover rent certificates on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support New Store Openings across the region.
• Manage other ad-hoc audit and reporting requests.
• Identify continuous improvements in existing processes and ways of working.

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant should have:

• Proven experience in a similar accountancy role
• Immediate, or short notice availability
• Working towards professional accountancy qualification. (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• 2+ years experience working in finance or similar professional field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Oracle experience (preferred)
• Excellent written communication skills.
