Fire Door Qualification Supervisor

Duration: 3–6 Months initially

We are seeking an experienced Fire Door Qualification Supervisor to lead and oversee essential fire door compliance programmes for a large public-sector organisation. This role is critical in ensuring building safety, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of high-volume fire door inspection and installation work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise large-scale fire door installation and inspection programmes (4,500 front entrance doors annually and 1,400 communal doors quarterly)

• Carry out both intrusive and visual inspections of fire doors and fire compartmentation, ensuring full compliance with fire safety standards and regulations

• Oversee contractor performance for installation and remedial works, ensuring certification standards (BM TRADA or equivalent) are consistently met

• Maintain accurate, detailed inspection records and certification evidence for audit purposes

• Liaise with clients, architects, auditors, and fire services to resolve technical issues, provide expert guidance, and ensure full compliance

Key Requirements:

• BM TRADA accreditation or equivalent qualifications in fire door installation and maintenance

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fire safety operations or building maintenance environments

• Strong supervisory skills with experience managing operatives and contractors

• Solid understanding of fire safety legislation and health & safety regulations
