Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant (Part-Time - 1 Day per Week) Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Temporary - until the end of the academic year Working Day: Wednesdays

We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Borehamwood from April 2026, working one day per week (Wednesdays) until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development within a nurturing school environment.

About the School

The school is a one-form entry primary, serving children from Nursery to Year 6 (ages 3-11), with 30 pupils per year group. It is an inclusive setting with a strong community ethos and a commitment to meeting the needs of all learners.

Set in a pleasant location, the school benefits from extensive outdoor facilities, including a large playing field, two playgrounds, and a conservation area with a pond, providing rich opportunities for outdoor learning, particularly within the Early Years.

The Role

As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children's learning and development within the EYFS framework
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning
• Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development

Requirements

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
• Previous experience working within an EYFS setting
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
• Able to commute to Borehamwood
