Interim Financial Controller 3-6 Months £80,000 - £90,000 DOE Practice Trained Potential for Perm West Yorkshire

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a great Leeds-based business who are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to jump in and support during a particularly busy period.

They’re ideally looking for someone practice-trained and technically strong, who can hit the ground running and be that safe pair of hands across month/year-end, tightening up processes and systems, and generally supporting the team wherever needed. It’s very much a hands-on role for someone who’s happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

• Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Owning management accounts, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and robust ledger controls
• Preparing statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP/IFRS and acting as key contact for external auditors
• Providing technical accounting guidance on standards, policies, disclosures and complex transactions
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks across the function
• Supporting and overseeing the finance team with BAU delivery, maintaining performance during peak periods
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver clear analysis, insight and performance commentary
• Driving process, systems and reporting improvements, alongside ad-hoc technical and transformation projects
