Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Cleckheaton Pay: £100 - £120 per day (paid weekly) Hours: Full-time, long-term with the potential for a permanent position

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HLTA to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Cleckheaton. This full-time, long-term position offers the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate. You will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning, working closely with teachers to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide support to students, including those with additional needs, in small groups and one-on-one settings.
  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Assist in the assessment of student progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably at a higher level of support.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working within a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
